Korea PCCC Guard for Shopify

Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-10-18

Agreement

These terms are between SL Studio and the merchant that installs the SL Korea PCCC Guard app on a Shopify store. By installing or using the app you agree to them, together with the Privacy Policy and the Security and Data Protection Policy on this site.

The service

The app checks the format of the Korean personal customs clearance code and the presence of the recipient's phone and postal code on orders shipped to Korea, tags the orders, and — if you turn it on — emails the customer a request for the code. It does not verify codes with the Korea Customs Service and does not guarantee customs clearance. You remain responsible for the shipment data and for your customers' communications. The app is not affiliated with the Korea Customs Service or any carrier.

Plans and billing

The Free plan shows the list and the check result. The Pro plan (tags, customer email, CSV) is billed through Shopify at the price shown in the app, with a free trial for new subscribers. You can cancel at any time in the app; Shopify handles charges, refunds and invoices.

Acceptable use

Use the app only for your own store's orders and in line with Shopify's terms and the law. Customer request emails are transactional messages about the customer's own order and may not be used for marketing.

Data processing terms

For personal data of your customers that the app processes, you are the controller and SL Studio is the processor. SL Studio will:

  • process customer personal data only to check and tag your Korea-bound orders and to send the request email you turned on, and for no other purpose;
  • not sell, share or use customer personal data for marketing, profiling or training;
  • keep customer personal data confidential and protect it with the measures in the Security and Data Protection Policy;
  • use only the subprocessors listed in the Privacy Policy (Vercel, Upstash, Resend) and update that list before adding one;
  • help you respond to customer data requests and honour Shopify's customer and shop redaction requests;
  • delete the data it holds for your shop after you uninstall, as described in the Privacy Policy;
  • notify you without undue delay, and no later than 72 hours after confirming it, of a security incident affecting your customers' personal data;
  • answer reasonable written questions about these measures.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change these terms; material changes are announced on this page with a new date, and continued use after that means you accept them.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, SL Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including parcels held or returned by customs — and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend use that breaks these terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Questions: support@sl-studio.dev.
